Picking a Favorite Book Nigh Impossible!
Although I'm far more apt to listen to books these days than to actually sit down and read one, I do have favorites. Picking most favorite was a real challenge!
Immediately, Annie Dillard and Pilgrim at Tinker Creek surfaced. In fact, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek was the topic of my last post here on WryteStuff.com. Close behind Pilgrim came the sense memory of reading David Copperfield. Then followed the entertaining and fun "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and all other works by the wonderful Douglas Adams (wasn't Sam Rockwell just the biggest hoot as Zaphod Beeblebrox - come on, now!) who is off the planet now, exploring other adventures I'm sure.
Pilgrim at Tinker Creek was a journey, for me at least, into the macro-universe. The detail of life at it's smallest, down to aomeba level, really put me in touch with how nothing on earth is without life and it's own path.
David Copperfield mirrored for me what I knew but nobody talked about -- we humans are a bizarre and confused lot. David made it ok for me to feel utterly alone here, to feel utterly desolate and to see into the other side of that ... Agnes, his shining light.
Hitchhiker's Guide --- wow, continuing theme of us bizarre humans and how we each experience the universe and each other. Loved this book and felt very expanded after reading it.
So, Matrix Energetics tied that all up in a wildly chaotic and fun package for me. In exploring the quantum fields with Richard (I also took Matrix Energetic seminars after that and loved the entire Matrix experience), I realized that this is a ride, this experience on earth. It's a roller coaster or a sweet float down the lake, or anything else we can imagine it to be.
Matrix Energetics would have to be my favorite, just because all the other stuff is in there.
