Ha, you know the song. I bet I'm not the first to call that forth on this topic of what the world needs.

Yes, Love.

But how does that look in the real world, in the bricks and mortar world?

It's the easiest thing in the world to profess love; and it can be the most challenging thing to know how to manifest it into some tangible expression in the world.

For me, love does not mean I say yes to every need that crosses my path. It doesn't even mean that I volunteer for every charity, donate every spare dime and minute, etc.

For me, love means that I see the Divine in every person I meet, to the best of my ability. And from that vantage point, of seeing each person as a spark of the divine, I embrace and accept that there may be reasons a soul chooses suffering, sickness, poverty and any other "bad" thing we can name.

I seek guidance based on a higher law than just what appears to be true.

Lending my personal energy is based on an awareness and knowing that it is that time in a person's path where they are ready to not only receive help but to step beyond the condition that caused the need for help in the first place.

How do I know this? I ask, I pray, I still myself and I release my mind from whatever I think I should do.

Then, right action appears.
